OhVarsity! Bracket Party 2018

GET READY, FOLKS. IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN.

March means basketball and basketball means brackets. The 3rd Annual OhVarsity! Bracket Party has landed.

In 2016, I set a goal of 100 entrants and we had 133 completed brackets by tipoff. Last year, I set a goal of 250 and we tipped off with 298 completed brackets. This year I'm shooting for the moon, getting way ahead of myself, and trying to get 500 people (LOL) on board. If we come anywhere near this I'll be thrilled. This is one of my favorite parts of the year for OhVarsity and I'd like to see it continue to rapidly expand. It makes it more fun.

If you don't like to read, skip to the bottom and press the big, red button. All you need to know is that your bracket should be named with your Twitter handle.

DETAILS:

WHO: Any and all followers, listeners, and readers of OhVarsity! If you’re on Twitter, please name your bracket entry the same as your twitter handle. For example, mine is “@OhVarsity”. This makes it easy for everyone to tell who is who. We want to be able to congratulate you if you win or make fun of you if you lose. Seriously though, it's much more fun if it's possible to identify brackets. Otherwise we may as well just join a random group.

WHAT: One bracket per person. No cost. We’re playing for pride, mostly because I don't want to handle anyone's money. We're quickly past the scale where that would be realistic.

WHEN: You can get in the door now, but you obviously can’t fill out a bracket until after the field is announced on Selection Sunday (3/11).

WHERE: My site of choice is ESPN.com because they seem to be the most popular and I like their app. Please don't complain about the site. It's not that big of a deal.

WHY: Because the group is large enough to be fun by small enough to recognize who you're competing against. It's a good time every year. Fight for the right to be called the Gary Clark of brackets.
